MSK is Happy to Announce the Addition of Brian and Ross to Our Team!
Brian joins the team as our Chief Financial Officer. Brian grew up in Sumter, South Carolina. He Graduated from the University of South Carolina – Columbia. There he earned an undergraduate degree in Accounting and a Masters in Business Administration. He completed the requirements and became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in 1987 and a Chartered Global Management Accountant in 2015. He began his early career working with two organizations that helped with small business formation. He began studying for the CPA exam and began a five year career in the public accounting industry, two of those years were with Ernst and Young, LLP and the other years with small local firms. He also spend six years doing audit work with the Office of Inspector General in the Department of Housing and Urban Development. He spent the last 20 years as the Controller (Chief Accounting Officer) of the South Carolina Ports Authority in Charleston. Brian Moved to Charleston in 1980, he is formerly married and has a son named Carter. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and helping others learn about accounting computer applications and related business development efforts. He is very active with the Knights of Columbus and their Annual Turkey Day Run. He enjoys playing golf occasionally and follows all sports, particularly football “Saturday Down South”. He regularly attends University of South Carolina sporting events. He also enjoys spending his free time with old home restoration projects.
Ross has been hired on as our new Junior Estimator. Ross grew up in Tulsa, OK where he graduated from Nathan Hale High School and proceeded on to Arkansas for college. Ross and His wife have known each other for over 18 years and have been married for 17. They moved to Charleston 11 years ago where they currently reside and are raising their 8 year old daughter. In 2006, Ross decided it was time to reset the direction of his career. He worked as an Irrigation Estimator for the largest landscape supply company in the US. He then left about 4 years later to work for one of the top 10 largest Landscape and Irrigation Company as Senior Landscape and Irrigation Estimator where he worked for the last 6 years before starting with MSK in December 2016. He is a huge sports fan and has always rooted for the Chicago Cubs, Dallas Cowboys, and Oklahoma Sooners. Since his move he has adopted the South Carolina Gamecocks.
