Nellis AFB Training Center

Owner: U.S. Air Force

Location: Nellis Air Force Base

Project Description

Nellis Air Force Base is home of the world-renowned Thunderbirds, “America’s Ambassadors in Blue”. When the Air Force needed someone to convert their bachelor enlisted quarters to a training center they turned to Paul “Sonny Marshall”, Vice President, and Dave Howard, Superintendent of MSK. This $11.7 million dollar project included a seismic upgrade, a force protection barrier and explosion resistant storefront/glazing system for this three story concrete building. Supplemental to the upgrade, under the leadership of Sonny and Dave, the team built a 9,000 square foot steel framed addition including a new elevator.
